How does the Sapper fit compared to other Barbour jackets?

The Barbour Sapper wax jacket has a generous regular fit. Unlike the slim-fitting Corbridge wax jacket, the Sapper has more room in the chest and midsection.

Should I size up or down in the Barbour Sapper?

Is the Sapper jacket warm enough for winter?

Thanks to its 70g diamond-quilted wadding, the Barbour Sapper jacket is great for winter, especially when compared to unlined wax jackets like the Ashby, which require an additional zip-in Barbour liner. However, this does mean the Sapper is not compatible with the zip-in liners and is designed to be an all-in-one garment. Due to the jacket's built-in layer and generous fit, the intended way to add extra warmth is by wearing heavy knitwear or a gilet underneath.

Does the Barbour Sapper come with a hood?

Yes, the Sapper comes with a concealed lightweight nylon hood, which can be hidden away inside the zipper of the jacket's stand-up collar.
