So let's get one of the main things about Veja trainers covered straight away... the pronunciation! It's the same as when you say "deja vu" and the literal translation of Veja from Portuguese to English is "look". The supposed meaning here is that you should "look" more closely at the trainers that you are wearing, a reference perhaps to their sustainability credentials (more on this below).
