Which Barbour jackets are compatible with the Polarquilt liner?

Should I order the same size liner as my jacket?#

We recommend that all of our customers that you buy the liner in the same size as their Barbour jacket. For example, if your Beaufort is a size 40/L, then your liner needs to be a size 40/L.

What if my jacket uses numeric sizing (e.g., 38, 40, 42)?

The Barbour Polarquilt liner uses letter sizing (XS to XXXL). The standard conversion when matching to numeric classic jackets is:

  • Small: Fits chest sizes 34–36
  • Medium: Fits chest sizes 38–40
  • Large: Fits chest sizes 42–44
  • Extra-large: Fits chest sizes 46–48

Can it be worn on its own as a standalone gilet?

The Polarquilt liner is intentionally finished on both sides so it functions as a neat, casual vest over shirts or knitwear if you want to wear it as a standalone piece. It features two large, functional front patch pockets with contrast Barbour script embroidery and an internal security pocket.

Is the Polarquilt liner machine washable?

Yes, unlike the wax jackets, the Polarquilt liner can be machine washed at 40°C and then left to air dry.
