Hey guys, Sam here from Michael Stewart Menswear and today we're going to dive into another Barbour style. Now, when it comes to spring summer, you know, the waxes are great, especially the lightweight ones, but they’re heavy, padded, sort of quilted styles, sometimes they just don’t cut it, and that is not what Barbour’s all about. They do have some fantastic jackets that will see you through the spring and summer season. They're a little bit lighter, they're easier to wear, and as I'm wearing today, this Mac, the Rokig is no exception. It's a fantastic little jacket, so we're going to run through it today. We're going to just give you the fit, the features, everything you need to know about this fantastic little spring-summer jacket. Let's get into it.
What Style is the Barbour Rokig Waterproof Jacket?
The Rokig is a classic Mac style. It's not quilted, it's not padded, it's nice and lightweight, and it's also made out of a lovely polycotton material which is completely waterproof as well. It's slightly longer, definitely sort of down to knee height, collared, it is everything that you'd want in a traditional Mac, button closure and a nice regular fit, which means you can layer it over things. Now this is the kind of jacket you can wear casually, you can stick it over the top of a suit, it's super, super versatile, and that is why we love it.

Now, let's talk about some of the features. You've got the classic collar. On the inside, here as well, you're gonna see some of their seasonal tartan check come through. Each season they bring this jacket out, they'll just change the check in there just to update it, just to sit it in line with the rest of the wider spring-summer collection. Pocket-wise, you've got plenty, don't worry about that. Two nice, comfortable hand pockets to the side, the left one here just embroidered with the Barbour logo, tonal, nice and subtle, how we like it and on the inside, a really useful zip pocket as well. Keep your valuables close and safe. Now again, going back to that fabric, it is completely waterproof which means it's ideal, I mean outside, it is absolutely raining today, it is coming down, so this’d be a great jacket to keep you dry and just to keep that rain off your back when you're jumping in and out of offices, going here there, really this jacket can do everything.
How Does the Barbour Rokig Fit?
So let's go back to the fit real quick, as I mentioned, it's slightly longer, classic Mac style, so it's coming down just to the knee there. Great coverage, great weather protection. Fit-wise again, it's pretty regular, it's really true to size, I mean, I'm just wearing it over a nice Barbour T-shirt here, but if you were going to wear it over a suit, as you can really dress it up, easy, loads of room, great, great for layering. Which as well, when you've got a thin adaptable piece like this, even though it is really a spring summer jacket you can certainly wear it into autumn, you can certainly wear it into winter, you know a nice thick roll neck under here, it looks smart, it looks sharp and that is exactly what you want in a jacket, versatility and durability.
