Unboxing: The Sergio Tacchini 60th Anniversary Collector’s Set

To celebrate six decades of sporting excellence, Tacchini has released a highly exclusive, limited-edition 60th Anniversary Collector’s Set, and we’ve managed to get our hands on it here at Michael Stewart Menswear. In our latest unboxing, Sam heads into the warehouse to give you a first look at the limited edition drop.

Hi Guys, Sam here at Michael Stewart's. Now, I've just been informed that we've had a very, very special delivery into our warehouse. It's an exclusive, it's a limited edition, it's to celebrate a big anniversary. So, I'm super excited it's here. I've not seen it yet. So, let's go through to the warehouse and see what we think. Come with me.
Okay, cool, let's come through to the warehouse, and George mentioned the first one was on AD, which looks to be here. It looks like we've got a really nice, limited-edition box. This is the track top, supposedly, so that's looking pretty nice already. Little 60th anniversary, linking the look of that. Where did you say the other one was? Top of U. And of course it is. Because I'm a short arse, I can't reach it. I need a ladder, let me grab one of these. We'll take them back to the office and do a proper unboxing.
Okay, so here we are, the two special edition pieces. Now, it's only because it is all they have done in this collection. Just two nice, paired-down pieces. I remember seeing them in the showroom, a bit ago now, when we were buying this collection. It's nice to see it in the flesh. The boxes are absolutely lovely, nice bit of gold sort of foiling on there. Feels lovely, and both of them are super, super heavy as well. I'm sure that heft definitely qualifies for quality.
Sergio Tacchini 60th Anniversary Youngline Polo Box Set
So, nice little bit of story in there talking about the heritage. So, it's Sergio Tacchini's 60th anniversary, hence these special edition pieces. So, firstly, we've got the Young Line polo here. This is a knitted variant in gardenia and maritime blue, which looks absolutely lovely, super, super vintage, super, super retro, just how we like it.
And, in each of these, if I rightly remember, comes with a bit of a gift, a little bit of an extra bonus. So, the polo shirt here is coming with a three-pack of socks again, matching colourways, nice bit of gold embroidery, they're really, really quite nice. Let's unpack the main deal, though. Let's see what this actually feels like in person. I've seen the imagery for this because we've got it all ready for our special launch. Which launches on Thursday, let's have a look at what we've got here.
So, a nice little postcard with it, again just harking back to Tacchini's Italian roots. Nice little bit of a collector's item, and the polo itself, this is what it's all about, is a lovely cotton knit, nice little ribbed hems, nice ribbed cuffs, limited edition neck tag as well, and yeah, feels absolutely lovely. Fit-wise, that looks about true to size as well. So, nice and easy, that is what we like. Right, let's have a look at the second box.
Sergio Tacchini 60th Anniversary Capomasters Track Top Box Set
And lastly, the second piece in the collection is a lovely, nice little box, and this, I believe, is the Capomasters track top in maritime blue and gardenia, or navy and white. So, again, it looks to be a fully cotton knitted, it's got the postcard, it's got the nice little sticker in there as well, and the freebie little bonus in here to celebrate is a very retro-looking headband.
It's a proper cool retro sweatband right there, not sure if it's something I would wear myself, but that is Sergio Tacchini through and through, a nice little touch of harking back to their heritage. After all, this is about their 60th anniversary. So, let's have a look at this guy, see what he's looking like.
So, all of these are knitted. 100% cotton has a slightly elevated price point, but the quality of it is absolutely fantastic. I can tell already that this is looking great, so nice cotton knit, full-zip track top kind of blurring the line between cardigan and track top, it's got the classic stripes on there, embroidered logo, and as well the Sergio Tacchini 60th anniversary logo as well. Feels absolutely lovely, classic Tacchini hardware on there as well. Again, looks pretty regular fit, true to size, nice and easy. That is an awesome-looking track top and the sweatband as well, nice little retro touch. Again, what a fantastic little piece to celebrate Sergio Tacchini's 60th Anniversary.

Okay, so there we have it, that is my whistlestop tour of this fantastic little micro collection from Tacchini. We're super excited about it; it's excellent when a brand can celebrate such a long and interesting heritage. To be fair, it's not quite unlike ourselves; we've been kicking around for nearly as long, so it's great when we can kind of join up with these brands and bring you something super, super exciting to just show their timeless classic style and heritage.
