Focusing on Barbour’s iconic Tartan heritage, this season’s Barbour Shirt Department collection reinforces this history through timeless designs and traditional colourways. Split across five categories of tartan, smart casual, plains, rugged casuals and winter casuals, the range presents seasonal shirt styles perfect for every occasion.
We've curated a collection of Barbour Shirting stocked at Michael Stewart Menswear with focus on a lovely selection of smart plain shirts and bold tartan, including the ever popular Tartan 4 shirt. Adaptable for smart and causal wear, these shirts need to be your wardrobe staple for this season!
Each shirt features fantastic detailing such as the Barbour Logo patch attached to each chest pocket or the tartan trim on the inside cuffs and neckline if the Ferryhill Shirts. They are made from 100% cotton fabric and quality construction, meaning they are a brilliant and lasting garment, made for years of wear & enjoyment.

How do Barbour Shirts Fit?
Our current collection of the Ferryhill Plain Oxford, Dunoon Tartan & Tartan 4 are all a tailored fit. But what does this mean? Well going by Barbour's size guide a medium pit to pit measurement is a 22.5". This may seem quite large, but I've tried the shirts on to get a better idea of their fit and this is what I've found.
For context, I am a standard Medium / 38" chest. The medium in a tailored cut fits me very well. The length of the shirt is good with a curved hem, ideal for wearing tucked in or out, adaptable for smart and casual wear. The shirt fits very well around the chest and the tailoring to the midsection is nice and subtle. This gives the shirt a lovely tailored look, but is not excessively tight and slim. We would recommend that for the Barbour Tailored shirt you should wear your usual size.
