How does the Levi’s® XX Chino"Standard Taper" fit compare to the "Slim Taper"?

The Levi Standard Taper is designed for those who want a modern look without a restrictive feel of traditional chinos. We find them roomier across the seat and thigh than the Slim Taper, giving you more breathing room while still narrowing cleanly to the ankle.

Is the fabric stiff, and do the XX chinos stretch?

The XX Chinos are definitely not stiff. Levi’s explicitly markets them with the tagline "don't call them khakis" because they are significantly softer than traditional stiff twill. This is because they are made of 98% cotton and 2% elastane, which gives them a comfortable, active stretch that moves with you throughout the day.

Do the Levi’s® XX Chinorun true to size, or should I size up?

We find that the XX Chinos run true to size due to the built-in stretch. However, for our customers with highly muscular thighs or calves, you may want to size up by one waist size for a slightly more relaxed drape.

Are XX Chino formal enough for a business-casual office?

Yes, in our experience, the XX Chino is formal enough for the office. Thanks to their tapered silhouette and matte finish, the chinos easily transition from casual wear to business environments.

Do the XX Chino wrinkle easily throughout the day?

Thanks to their 2% elastane blend, the chinos recover their shape and resist creasing better than traditional rigid cotton chinos. Though they may develop light wear creases behind the knees during long periods of sitting, especially if you have an office job, they generally hold a clean shape throughout the day in our experience.
