We hope you love your purchase, but we know sometimes it just doesn't work out and that's OK. Should you wish to return the item, you can.

I'm A UK Customer. How Do I Return Something To You?

You can return your item back to us within 14 days of receipt for a full refund or an exchange. (Just make sure your item(s) are in their original resalable condition). Please note that during busy sale periods it can take up to 10 working days for your return to be processed.

Completing the Return:

  1. Fill in the supplied return form, please make sure you fill in all the important details like your name/order number and whether you would like a refund or an exchange. We can not process your return without this crucial information.
  2. Purchase a return label and email us (sales@michaelstewart.co.uk) quoting your order reference (Example - WEB12345) and goods being returned. Please allow for at least 24 hours for the purchased returns label to be emailed directly to you.
  3. Alternatively you can send the good back via any courier of your choice. 
  4. Send the Item - Following DPD or your chosen couriers instructions, send the item back to us. Nice and easy!

(PLEASE NOTE - The DPD return service is for UK MAINLAND CUSTOMERS ONLY. We do not offer pre-paid free returns)

I Need A Different Size?

If you need an exchange please get in contact with us on 01757 703139 or sales@michaelstewart.co.uk and we will check if we have your requested size in stock, and we will remove it from the system to prevent it being sold online or on the shop floor.

Please send the original item(s) back on a tracked service, with the original labels attached within 14 days of receipt, and the returns form filled in with the exchange box ticked and the new size requested.

We will send out your new size back out to you free of charge to your UK shipping address. Please be aware with international exchanges we may contact you to cover a proportion of the carriage fee.

Have You Got My Order Back?

If you have sent your order back via the recommended tracked service you can keep an eye on it throughout its journey, using the tracking number provided by the courier. 

If you have traced the parcel and it has been signed for at our address, please be patient during busy periods as it can take up to 10 working days for us to process your return. 

If you need to contact us to see if your parcel has made it back to us, please write your postcode/order number on the back of the parcel, therefore making it easier for us to locate it if we have a backlog to work through.

We will try our hardest to work through them as fast as possible, and we will email you as soon as the refund/exchange/credit note has been processed. 

When Will The Funds Appear Back In My Account?

Any refund will be automatically issued to the payment you used to place the original order. This typically takes 3-7 working days in the UK, depending on your payment method.

Please be aware Michael Stewart Menswear can not speed up this process, this is down to your bank.

We also regret that any postage and packaging costs cannot be refunded.

I Am Past My 14 Days Return Period, Help?

If life gets in the way and you don't manage to get the goods back to us within the 14 day period, you will be offered either an exchange or a credit note.

If you are issued a credit note by Michael Stewart, you will receive an email from the returns department to the original email address provided on the order.

In that email will include the details needed to claim your credit note. It will be issued to your account (if you do not have an account we will set one up for you with the email address provided). Your credit note will be valid for one calendar year. Once you have chosen your replacement item, just log in and at the basket stage your credit note will automatically deduct the value from your shopping bag.

My Order Is For A Christmas Gift

From the 1st of November we extend our returns policy, to help ease the stress of the festive period.

If it isn't the perfect gift, we will accept your goods back up until the 10th of January 2022 for an exchange or online account credit only.

The item must comply with our returns T&C's with all the labels attached and the item in a resalable condition. Goods returned after the 10th January 2022 or in a used condition will not be accepted. The standard UK 14 day and International 21 day refund policy still applies.

Terms & Conditions Of Returns

What Are The Terms & Conditions Of The Item(s) Return State?

The item(s) must be in a perfect, resalable condition with all the original labels and tags attached. These items must be unworn and unwashed.

Footwear must be tried on carpeted surfaces, to prevent scratches or scuffs to the soles. Do not damage the brand's product box, do not apply adhesive tape or labels directly to the product shoe box.

Michael Stewart Menswear can not accept returns on underwear, socks, swimwear or face masks for hygiene reasons. Please contact us if you need precise measurements for any item.

Any items that do not adhere to the above terms and conditions will be consequently returned back to you. 

What Are The Terms & Conditions Of The Returns Process?

Please note we cannot take any responsibility for items lost, damaged or delayed when returning to us. Any courier may be used to return your item to us, however any fees from duties, customs or additional costs from the courier to complete delivery will be deducted from the refund amount. We also regret that any postage and packaging costs cannot be refunded as this is a service, not a product.

The Item I Have Received Is Defective

In the rare occasion that the item(s) you receive is damaged during transit or is a manufacturing fault, please get in touch with ourselves on 01757 703139 or sales@michaelstewart.co.uk 

In most cases, you will need to return your item(s) for assessment by our returns department. If you are a UK customer please send the item back via a tracked service, please keep the receipt of postage costs, as this will be refunded by ourselves if the item(s) is deemed faulty. If you are an international customer please contact the team via email for advice on how to return the item(s).

Once the item has reached our returns team, they will inspect the item(s) to determine the cause of the fault and whether you are entitled to a repair, refund or exchange. Please be aware that in some cases, the item(s) may have to be sent back to the manufacturer overseas. 

Please be aware in some cases we may no longer have the style you purchased in stock available, so a credit note may be issued.

Goods are classified as faulty if they have a genuine manufacturing fault (deemed so by the brand) within the six months since the purchase, or they are received damaged. Please note if the item(s) has been damaged through wear or washing will not be accepted.

In some cases if the damage/fault occurs after the period of 6 months we may be able to resolve the matter with the manufacturer, please be aware that these matters will be dealt with on a case by case basis, and Michael Stewart cannot accept any responsibility.

I Am A International Customer, How Do I Return My Order?

You can return your item back to us within 21 days of receipt for a full refund or an exchange. (Just make sure your item(s) are in the original resalable condition)

A Guide to Returning Your Item:

  1. Fill out the returns form included in your parcel. Please make sure you fill in all the important details like your name/order number and whether you would like a refund or an exchange. We can not process your return without this crucial information.
  2. Send the Item back to us in the UK, preferably with a tracked service for your peace of mind. Please note we cannot take any responsibility for items lost, damaged or delayed when returning to us. We will then process your return when it arrives back to our store.

US Customers can now purchase a DHL Express return label, just follow these steps and click the 'US Returns Label' below

  1. Fill out the returns form included in your parcel
  2. Purchase a return label then please email us (sales@michaelstewart.co.uk) quoting your order reference (Example - WEB12345) and goods being returned. Please allow for at least 24 hours for the purchased returns label to be emailed directly to you.
  3. Send the Item - Follow DHL's instructions for a hassle-free return.

Please mark the parcel as a return. The customer must take full liability for any parcels returned to us. Postal Charges, return shipment costs, custom charges and handling fees incurred to Michael Stewart Menswear will all be deductible from any refund due.
