What size liner should I buy to fit my Barbour jacket?

We recommend that all of our customers that you buy the liner in the same size as their Barbour jacket. For example, if your Beaufort is a size 40/L, then your liner needs to be a size 40/L.

Can the warm pile liner be worn on its own as a standalone gilet?

Yes, the Warm Pile zip-in liner can absolutely be worn on its own as a gilet. However, the only downfall to wearing it on it’s own is that when zipped into a jacket, the liner's teeth attach to the jacket's internal tracks, meaning the liner itself is physically narrower than the coat. If your wax jacket fits you like a glove, the matching liner might feel a bit too snug or have a small gap when you try to zip it up independently over a thick sweater.

What is the fabric made of, and is it real fur?

The warm pile liner is not real fur and is 100% high-grade acrylic fleece pile (85% Acrylic, 15% Polyester).

Is the Barbour Warm Pile zip-in liner machine washable?

Yes, unlike the wax jackets, the warm pile liner can be machine washed at 30°C and then left to air dry.
